I’am African American, and I perm my hair every 3 months. I used to perm it every 6 weeks, but after noticing how damaged my hair was getting I had to lengthen the time between relaxers. I bought the Pyhto balm specifically for relaxing my new growth and making my hair more manageable. I have to say I LOVE the phyto balm. I first put it in my wet hair and than I apply my rollers and than I sit under the dryer, and when I come out my hair is BEAUTIFUL. Its soft and shiny and the gel like consistency provides hold for my curls, so my hair has lots of body. Whenever I need a perm my hair starts looking dry, but the phyto balm creates a shine I never knew my hair had. I also apply it to dry hair too. My hair sucks it right in without leaving a greasy residue. I HIGHLY recommend this product. You won’t regret it.

I have thick, naturally wavy/curly hair. Once it gets humid, it’s a mass of frizz. I’ve tried several anti-frizz products and none work as well (if at all) as this. Plus, this has no odor, is not heavy, does not leave any kind of discernible residue and I use it on wet or dry hair. It’s pricey, but a little goes a long way. My hair looks soft and shiny. I don’t use it to straighten, just to de-frizz the curls.

I am NOT a hair product person. But as soon as I tried this Phytologie balm, I was hooked. It actually makes your hair less fly-away. Although it seems expensive, you only need a small amount to keep your hair in place.
